Closing of the Bones Package - $450

Closing of the Bones is a traditional sacred Mexican Ceremony (although similar rituals are preformed in many other cultures) that beautifully honours the profound journey the mother took to birth her baby.

In many cultures it is said that in the birth portal the mother’s spirit travels to collect her baby’s soul and they take the journey of birthing together. This ritual recognises birth and other rites of passage as a time of immense energetic expansion and aims to gently call the mothers spirit back into her body.

A combination of warm healing massage and herbal steam bath followed by physical binding with traditional Mexican rebozos to wrap and nurture the mother's body. It creates a sacred space for the release of any stored trauma, an opportunity of deep healing, and embracing the transformative journey of motherhood or new chapter.

I hold immense reverence and gratitude for the wisdom keepers who have safeguarded and passed down this ancient tradition, allowing us to honour and practice it with deep respect.

Belly Binding & Mother Warming Session – $200

1x In-home visit (approx 1.5hrs)

A deeply restorative postpartum ritual that weaves together traditional belly binding instruction, gentle womb massage, and moxa mother warming to bring warmth and balance back to your body.

Belly binding has been practised for centuries in cultures around the world to support recovery after birth — offering gentle abdominal and uterine support, easing back discomfort, restoring warmth, and creating a sense of grounding and containment. You’ll provide your own bind, and I’ll bring everything else. This session offers you a chance to feel truly nurtured, comforted, and cared for as you heal.

Support your body through every stage of motherhood all in the comfort of your own home, where you can truly relax and be cared for without the stress of travel or arranging a babysitter.

During pregnancy, massage offers gentle relief for tired muscles, eases tension and supports your changing body as it prepares for birth. In the postpartum period, massage becomes a beautiful tool for recovery, helping to restore balance, encourage relaxation, soothe aching shoulders and back, and support hormonal harmony after birth. Whether you are resting with your newborn (or other children) nearby or enjoying a quiet moment to yourself, in-home massage allows you to be nurtured exactly where you are, making your wellbeing a priority during this sacred season of life.

Frequently Asked Questions

2. Will my partner still have a role if I hire a doula?

Absolutely. A doula does not replace your partner; we enhance their ability to support you. Your partner knows and loves you. A doula brings experience, reassurance, and practical tours to guide both of you. We help your partner feel confident, offer suggestions, and hold space so they can rest when needed – instead of trying to remember everything themselves. Together, we make a powerful team.

6. How long do you support families postpartum?

Every family’s needs are different. Some want support for the first 6 weeks, while others continue care for months. I offer flexible packages whether you’d like a handful of sessions or ongoing support to match the rhythm of your family’s recovery and adjustment.

1. How is a doula different from a midwife?

Midwives focus on medical care and safety during pregnancy and birth. A doula offers continuous emotional, physical and informational support – the kind that most hospitals or care providers can’t or don’t provide. We complement your medical team and work beautifully together to ensure you are supported.

5. Why would I need a postpartum doula?

The weeks after birth are a huge adjustment physically, emotionally, and mentally. A postpartum doula supports you with rest, recovery, nourishing food, and emotional care. Having a village around you is how women have been cared for across cultures for centuries — and I’m here to be part of yours.

3. Do doulas only support natural, hospital or home births?

No, my support as a doula includes all kinds of births - home birth, hospital birth, water birth, caesarean, medicated or unmedicated. My role is to help you feel informed, respected, and supported; however, you choose to birth.

4. What are the benefits of having a doula?

Research shows that having a doula can:
- Reduce the likelihood of interventions and caesarean birth
- Shorten labour
- Increase satisfaction with the birth experience
- Provide continuous emotional support (something not always possible with medical staff)
- Improve bonding and recovery in the postpartum period

BIANCA AND ZAC

“We could not recommend Sara highly enough. After a traumatic first birth, we decided to enlist the services of a doula and thanks to Sara’s compassion, caring nature, genuine passion for what she does and encouragement we had a beautiful and supported home birth and would not change a thing. She has a wealth of knowledge, which she is eager to pass on in order for you to make the most informed decisions you can. She has been one of the most supportive people throughout my pregnancy and anyone can expect a high level of professionalism and care from her.”

Joel & Bethany

"Having Sara as our doula helped us be as prepared as we could be for the birth of our daughter and helped instill confidence going into what could have been an otherwise really overwhelming experience without the right people in our corner. Sara was really supportive and suggested what was the right techniques and things to do to help Bethany in her pain which made me feel more confident. At the hospital you can feel like just another patient but Sara made me feel really at ease. It's very personal having a doula, you almost feel like its just another family member.

ESZTER

“Sara, I loved you as my doula. You were beautiful, supportive, and understanding right from the beginning. You paid attention to what I wanted and what I envisioned for my birth. I felt comfortable to share my fears about my process and about becoming a mother. The gifts I received were heart warming and unexpected. And the meals were just delicious! Including and supporting my partner in every way was a huge plus. During labour you held my hand, helped me move, encouraged me and most importantly you were breathing with me. I am forever grateful for all your love & support"

Kay

“Having Sara as my doula was an incredible resource and support, the best decision! Every session she created a safe space to discuss fears and debrief the day- as a second time mum I knew how important this is.

On the day of my little ones birth, she just knew what needed to be done and was there at every turn. I will be forever grateful for her impact on this journey and the confidence she gave myself and partner."

ARIA

“I truly don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am for the support I received from Sara over the past six weeks. From the moment we met, she brought such a calming, nurturing energy into our home — something I didn’t realise I needed as much as I did.

Her care went far beyond what I could have imagined: she brought me the most nourishing, delicious food (a true highlight of each visit), gave me beautiful massages that soothed both body and mind, surprised me with flowers that brightened my day, and always held space for me with genuine warmth, wisdom, and compassion.

As a new mum navigating the intense and emotional postpartum period, having Sara by my side was an absolute gift. She was an anchor during a time of great transition — steady, supportive, and full of heart. I cannot recommend her enough to any new parent in need of gentle, grounded, and loving support.

Thank you so much, Sara. You’ve made a lasting impact on my journey into motherhood.”

CHLOE

“Having Sara guide us through our pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey was invaluable. She’s is incredibly knowledgeable and provided support for all stages, for both myself and my partner. She held space for our concerns and showed up like a friend to celebrate and nurture us. Her calming yet strong presence during our birth was so welcomed and she made our experience feel so personable. Her cooking is excellent and she goes above and beyond to make you feel held and cared for. I cannot recommend Sara enough and we are so grateful to have her as part of our journey.”
